Black Friday & Cyber Monday Promo Tips

You may not be able to compete with the big stores on discount pricing on Black Friday and Cyber Monday but you don't necessarily have to.
(For those that are not aware of Cyber Monday, it is suppose to be the busiest day for online shopping after Thanksgiving).
If you sell on Etsy and you offer any kind of promotion remember to create and use relevant coupon codes and advertise them to your customers via your shop announcement box, newsletters, blog and social networks

Remember to use these tags to be included in Etsy-wide promotions: Black Friday Etsy, Cyber Monday Etsy, and Free Shipping Etsy. Etsy advises to '..Specify the details of your promotion clearly in your item listings, shop announcement, profile and policies page to be sure to cover all your bases!'.

Remember not all customers buy into the Black Friday hysteria and value 'handmade' and one of a kind products to give as gifts to friends and loved ones.

If you are able to offer discounts make it a 1 day event ala 'Apple' who are notorious for not discounting their products but only do so slightly on Black Friday.

In our previous blogs we mentioned the type of products that are ideal to offer promotions on, like items that didn't sell well earlier in the year or think about designing quick to make Holiday trinkets from from existing stock.

What tips get you and your on/ offline jewlery business noticed this time of year?
